the matter between the margins

This piece measures 36″x24″ with multiple layers of acrylic paint in various shades of white, grays and iridescent paints; carefully placed on a clean blank canvas. The thin lines on the peice are painted in paynes gray acrylic paint. The texture on the canvas derives from different gels, molding pastes, acrylic and house paints. The edges are 1.5 inches deep; they are blank, white canvas that matches the canvas around the textured rectangles. Signed, dated, and titled on the back.
